Bulls Abroad: Canada loses to Morocco, 4-0

Karl Ouimette was mercifully spared a part in this one.

Canada was swept aside by Morocco in Marrakesh, losing 4-0 in a match that started badly for the Canadians and ended worse.

The first goal was conceded in the 12th minute, but Canada survived a few scares to hold host Morocco to a 1-0 lead at half-time. In the second half, however, the wheels came off. A penalty conceded in the 65th minute dropped the Canadians into a 2-0 hole; another penalty in the 81st minute made it 3-0. The fourth goal was added in the 86th minute.

Injury to 'keeper Milan Borjan in the 71st minute added to the insult of the resounding loss.

The New York Red Bulls' Karl Ouimette didn't make it on to the field. The defender needs playing time, but missing out on the humiliation handed out to his teammates was perhaps a small mercy.

Ouimette will hope to get called to Canada's squad for its next game: a friendly against South Korea on November 11.
