The New York Red Bulls announced on October 7 that the club had agreed a partnership deal with Arenas Parks & Stadiums Solutions Inc. (APSS).
The deal makes APSS the "Official Paint and Flooring Contractor" of RBNY.
Sports Business Daily's Alex Silverman broke the news on October 6, describing a partnership that effectively sees RBNY trade renovation work for advertising. APSS will have signage and a customized skybox at Red Bull Arena; the stadium will get upgrades which, reportedly, will include "core value sentences" on the walls.
The partnership is simply the latest in an increasing list of marketing agreements signed by the club since Marc de Grandpre took over its commercial operations. The RBNY General Manager has driven what appears to be a mostly successful effort to see the team find new commercial partners and expand its network of sponsors.
And now it would appear the club has basically got the stadium a renovation in exchange for a skybox. Seems like a solid trade.
