Bulls Abroad: Chris Gloster starts in USA U-17s' 4-0 win over Costa Rica

The RBNY Academy prospect is getting regular starts for the USA U-17s at the moment.

Chris Gloster and the US U-17 Men's National Team recorded a second win over their Costa Rican counterparts earlier this week, adding a 4-0 victory on October 24 to the 3-1 win recorded over the same opponent on October 22.

New York Red Bulls Academy prospect Gloster - the youngest American to play in USL - started both games. He was credited with an assist in the first match against Costa Rica.

Gloster and the U-17s now turn their attention to Jamaica. The squad will travel to Kingston to prepare for back-to-back friendlies against the Jamaica U-17s. Those games will be played on November 2 and November 6.

Jamaica is a confirmed qualifier for next year's CONCACAF U-17 Championship (Costa Rica is also expected to be at the tournament, but has not yet completed the necessary qualification tournament). That competition will see four teams qualify for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup. The USA will expect to be among those qualifiers, and the ongoing series of friendlies against potential opponents in the CONCACAF tournament are valuable experience for the current U-17 cohort.
