How to watch Korea Republic vs Canada, international friendly: start time, TV schedule, and live stream

RBNY's Karl Ouimette hopes to get some playing time in this one.

It has been a disappointing year for the Canada Men's National Team and the New York Red Bulls' Karl Ouimette.

The RBNY defender has had the worst of it, however, since he has been a near-permanent member of Canada's national team squad as it battled to an ultimately frustrating early exit in World Cup qualifying, and he has suffered a year of seemingly constant setbacks at club level.

Canada's trip to Korea is, therefore, a chance to end the year on a high note for Ouimette - and his fortunes have sunk so low recently that a high note would be pretty much anything beyond a handful of minutes at the end of the game.

For Canada, this friendly is simply about building experience within the player pool. The result is not as important as the opportunity to build overall squad depth.

In the Korean squad, keep an eye out for Red Bull Salzburg's 20-year-old forward, Hwang Hee-chan.
