His loan to Jacksonville Armada seems to have been a bust. Still, despite a lack of playing time at club level, New York Red Bulls' castaway Canadian Karl Ouimette is doing something right to continue to attract the attention of his national team.
The Canada Men's National Team is heading to Korea for a friendly in Cheonan on November 11. Interim head coach Michael Findlay has named an 18-man squad that features one new face: Swiss-born Shrewsbury Town goalkeeper Jayson Leutwiler. Players like Dejan Jakovic, Marcel De Jong, and David Edgar provide experience, but the squad includes a healthy dose of younger players.
Those younger players range from relative newcomers, like Charlie Trafford, to rising stars like Orlando City's Cyle Larin. And there is also room in the squad for Karl Ouimette.
Kick off on November 11 is at 7:00 am, Eastern. And the match will be streamed on canadasoccer.com.
