If you feel like taking a dive into the future of the New York Red Bulls on a Thursday afternoon, have a glance at today's Development Academy Winter Showcase match. RBNY's U17/18 squad will take on another well-regarded MLS Academy program - FC Dallas.
The Winter Showcase matches are running alongside the Nike International Friendlies - the US U-17s just walloped Portugal in their opening game of the tournament - and US Soccer has generously arranged for the club matches to be streamed online in much the same way as the internationals. So this is a rare chance for people other than family, friends and scouts to see what the Academy kids look like in action.
