Following reports of Junior Flemmings signing last month, on top of the many months of speculation as to whether he'd end up in New York or not, the Jamaican youth international has finally signed with New York Red Bulls II.
Junior Flemmings is an energetic young forward with an eye for goal and the young Jamaican attacker is said to be one of the most promising players to come out of the Caribbean nation in a generation. Previously, Flemmings was playing for Tivoli Gardens of the Red Stripe Premier League, having scored 8 goals in this year's campaign. He has represented his country at every youth level, and has recently been called into the full national team.
Flemmings, 20, becomes the ninth player of NYRBII's roster, as well as the youngest, leading into the team's season opener Saturday against Toronto FC II. The game will take place at Red Bull Arena at 3pm, tickets are (virtually) general admission and are $10 each.
