Buy 'Em or Bag 'Em Week 2: Slow start, Eh?

RBNY has to put the loss behind them. Montreal will be a very tough opponent

Roster change deadline: Friday March 11, 7:00pm ET

Amount of Free Transfers this week: 2

After dropping their home opener to Toronto FC 2-0, the New York Red Bulls have a difficult assignment ahead of them this weekend.  They will have to travel north of the border to visit a Montreal Impact team that beat a very good Vancouver Whitecaps 3-2 on the road, even though Vancouver dominated most of the statistical categories.  Ignacio Piatti tallied two goals and an assist, earning him the top spot in the newly created Audi Player Index and on the MLS Team of the Week.  Montreal are flying high at the moment and have the ability to keep up the momentum since Saturday's game will be their home opener.

If you want to grab another player, I recommend to buy Lloyd Sam.  If Montreal keep their same formation and starting XI as last week, Sam will face Ambroise Oyongo at left fullback in the 4-2-3-1.  Oyongo is aggressive going forward, so if the Red Bulls play the counter well, they could catch the young Oyongo out of position during the break.  Sam will have to get on his horse and do the best to create scoring opportunities.  On Wednesday, Jesse Marsch confirmed that Sam should be good to go after requiring ice on his left ankle following his second half substitution.

Tough call, but bag Sacha Kljestan.  He seemed to have moments last week where he was nowhere to be found on the field.  Pulling from history, it took him a little while to get going in 2015, so it could be par for the course for Kljestan to start slow.  Hopefully I am wrong, but the main driver in RBNY's high-flying offense was very flat against Toronto.

The Red Bulls face Montreal at Olympic Stadium on Saturday at 4:00pm ET.
