The Red Bulls hope a trip to San Jose will get them the points to climb out of the bad start.Yes we know the start to this season isn't a good one and the hope is that the ship can be righted as they continue to play well and try to get as many positive results as they can. Which means that a good road trip to the west coast is a perfect place to try and get into a positive position.

That starts with the club making their first visit to Avaya Stadium in San Jose, California a perfect place to start for the club to get into a positive position. At the moment the Quakes are in 5th place in the west and so far once again a hard working blue collared team is what Dominic Kinnear puts out on the field every single game.

"San Jose has a great combination of guys that work so hard for the team and also has some explosiveness and talented players around the goal, so it's a big task for us to go there and they are good at home." said Jesse Marsch, "It's not an easy time for our season at the moment but we are excited to play there."

As always the danger men for the Quakes is Chris Wondolowski, Quincy Amarikwa, and Simon Dawkins as they continue to show how well they perform and attack the opposition at home. "They had a decent start and got a good result in Dallas on the weekend. Wondolowski is the heartbeat of the team, he can punish you if you don't pay attention and make mistakes defensively." said Sacha Kljestan, "There is plenty of pressure on us to score goals because we lead the league in goals conceded. I'm happy we are going on the road and have the chance to kick start our season and become road warriors here."

As we have seen in these past five games the Red Bulls have executed their game plans to a tee. They have done everything in the attacking end as they continue to set things up and the only thing that hasn't gone well is the goal scoring as most of their chances haven't gone in with the exception of the home match against the Houston Dynamo.

"we need to get things right in both boxes, if we do that then we can improve our position." said Mike Grella, "We have been successful when you have seen the stats as we have been great in possession, creating chances, but no excuses as we need to convert our chances."

So as the club is getting ready to face a tough San Jose Earthquakes side that is always good at home will have a big task at hand to try and get any form of points possible as they need to kick start their season quickly and avoid having another lost season like 1999 & 2009 was.
