Roster change deadline: Saturday April 8, 7:00pm ET
Free Transfers this week: 2
You know it's not good when you need to start Karl Ouimette and Connor Lade as your center backs. Even worse when you already lost three players to injury, then lose Kemar Lawrence and get scored on in the same sequence. Oh by the way, you lose to a New England Revolution team who is not good and you are sitting in a tie for 8th in the East with D.C. United. And Felipe Martins is suspended for his red card that shouldn't have been.
But... that's where the New York Red Bulls sit today. And it doesn't seem to be getting any easier when they host Sporting Kansas City on Friday night at Red Bull Arena. RBNY have three points, SKC with nine.
I said this before the Houston game, but until the team shows they have some chemistry, I don't have confidence in buying any Red Bulls onto your fantasy team. If the team is able to move the ball to Bradley Wright-Phillips, he could have a decent game. Matt Besler is expected to be out due to his concussion suffered in USMNT training before the Guatemala games. But BWP has made a habit of hitting the keeper directly in the chest with his shots, so he is a bit of a wild card.
You can bag Felipe and Kemar Lawrence this week due to a red card suspension and injury, respectively. Felipe dropped $0.4M and Lawrence dropped $0.1M due to their performances last week, so once they are available again, you will be able to get them at a better value. Right now, ditch them for players who will actually see the field.
