Today, Jurgen Klinsmann announced his roster for the United States Men's National Team upcoming friendly against Puerto Rico.
While no current Red Bulls players made the roster, several former players including Tim Howard, Tim Ream, Matt Miazga, and Amando Moreno were named to the squad. The 22-man roster will converge in Miami for training before heading to Bayamon, Puerto Rico to play on May 21st.
The USMNT will be without MLS players for this match as all MLS clubs have matches during the weekend of May 20th-22nd. Additionally, several Liga MX and European based players were unavailable for selection due to club commitments.
Omar Gonzalez, Edgar Castillo, and Ventura Alvarado will all be competing in the Liga MX playoffs this weekend. Timothy Chandler faces a relegation playoff match, Christian Pulisic, and Gedion Zelalem will be playing in cup finals, and Ethan Horvath has a regular season league match with Molde.

The U.S.' final roster for the 2016 Copa America Centenario will be announced no later than Friday.
