The New York Red Bulls' Anatole Abang is having a little trouble getting the attention of his club coach, Jesse Marsch. The young forward has five appearances, one start, and a total of 137 minutes on the field for RBNY's first team so far this season. Still, he has been scoring regularly for the reserves, and something about him continues to catch the eye of Cameroon head coach Hugo Broos: Abang has been named to the Indomitable Lions' squad for their upcoming friendly with France (May 30) and Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Mauritius (June 3).

Broos handed Abang his first two senior national team caps during Cameroon's March AFCON qualifiers against South Africa.
The Cameroon coach has stated notable absentee Stephane Mbia is not available for the France match, but could be in the frame for selection subsequently. So there may be some changes to the roster ahead.
