On May 19, Sky Blue FC (2-2-1, 7 points) officially added forward Leah Galton, to the roster, making her available to play in Saturday's road rematch against Western New York Flash in Rochester.

Galton, 21, was the number 13 overall pick in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) collegiate draft back in January. Although she officially signed with Sky Blue last month when the final 20-player rosters were announced, she has previously been unavailable for the team as she finished her college education. Galton graduated from Hofstra University last weekend, making her available for her new club team.

During the Sky Blue preseason, Galton looked to be a force to be reckoned with, playing a major part in the SBFC attack. With the low number of shots taken by Sky Blue so far this season, another strong forward is definitely a welcome addition to the roster.

While at Hofstra, the English-international recorded 122 points, a record for the program. She is currently second highest in goals (48) and is tied for highest in assists (26) in the university's history. She was named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Player of the Year for the past three consecutive years, the only player to achieve this feat. She was also a semifinalist for the 2015 MAC Hermann Trophy, ultimately losing out to Sky Blue teammate Raquel Rodriguez.

Galton replaces Danielle Schulmann, who has been placed on the 45-day injured list after suffering a muscle strain injury to her right thigh in last week's training.

Prior to her injury, Schulmann, who came to Sky Blue FC through open tryouts, played in three matches this season, playing 42 minutes and getting a shot on goal under her belt.

Sky Blue FC hits the roads for its next two matches. Saturday, they head up to Sahlen's Stadium in Rochester, New York, to face off against the Western New York Flash.

They will then travel to the Chicago Red Stars before returning home to Yurcak Field on June 11th for a match against FC Kansas City.
