Bulls Abroad: Tyler Adams called to US U18 MNT training camp

As reported by Top Drawer Soccer.

USA TODAY Sports

If you were wondering why Tyler Adams did not participate in either the New York Red Bulls' MLS game against Toronto FC on May 28, or the NYRB II match that followed it - wonder no more. The day before those games, Top Drawer Soccer reported that Adams had been called to a US U18 Men's National Team training camp.

The camp is said to be running from May 28 to June 8, which means it will have no further effect on Adams' availability for RBNY. The first team's next scheduled game is a US Open Cup fixture on June 15.

NYRB II will have to get by without Adams for at least one more match, possibly two: the team has USL games scheduled for June 5 (against Bethlehem Steel) and June 9 (against Harrisburg City Islanders).

The 17-year-old midfielder has made seven appearances for NYRB II so far this season, logging 585 minutes. For RBNY, he has one MLS start to his name - an appearance that lasted 45 minutes.

Per TDS's sources - and absent any official announcement - no other Red Bulls have been called to the U18 camp.
