Report: Ronaldinho is not done, says Ronaldinho

He's a pretty reliable source about his own future, isn't he?

Once A Metro gave up hoping Ronaldinho might suit up for the New York Red Bulls some time ago, but we have never quite been able to let go of the dream of seeing 'Dinho play somewhere in America (or Canada; Canada would do) - and maybe meander into Red Bull Arena as part of an opposing team.

He's not what he used to be, no question. But he is still 'Dinho.

Unfortunately for OaM's fever dreams, Ronaldinho hasn't appeared able to secure any sort of secure employment since parting ways with Fluminense toward the end of 2015. Since then, he has essentially been on an extended tour of the world, featuring in whatever exhibition matches and promotions might want him.

But 'Dinho has not retired. And he has plans. he's not saying what exactly, but reports out of Brazil quote Ronaldinho promising to return to soccer this year:

"At the moment I'm just doing events, but in the second half, you can be sure that I will return to play." (Ronaldinho - Folha de Sao Paulo)

We live in hope, 'Dinho.
