The New York Red Bulls have long known that their extended mid-season break would end on June 15 with a US Open Cup match. Now they know who they will be playing.

Rochester Rhinos defeated Lansdowne Bhoys, 2-0, in the third round of the 2016 USOC to set up a meeting with RBNY. The Rhinos were the best team in USL last season - by a considerable margin, losing just once in the regular season and beating LA Galaxy II in the USL Championship game.

The Rhinos' dominance over their league rivals last season was based on defense: they conceded just 15 goals in 28 regular season games, and only once in the playoffs. This season, they are less solid at the back, having conceded 11 in their first nine league games of the year and lost twice already. But they remain a formidable opponent in USL, especially at home - the Rhinos are undefeated in their own stadium so far in their 2016 league campaign, and their 2016 USOC challenge.

RBNY will travel to Rochester to play the winners of the 1999 USOC on June 15. Tickets are available here.
