If it was surprising to see the New York Red Bulls linked with 24-year-old center back Marcin Kaminski, then it is not at all surprising to learn he has signed with a club that is not RBNY.
@canetop Marcin Kaminski has put pen to paper at Stuttgart. Three year deal. Don't have wage info right now. #MLS a fleeting rumor...

The idea that RBNY might be in the market for a relatively young, experienced, and - above all - not injured center back had some currency earlier this season, but the Kaminski rumor dropped just after the club moved to sign Aurelien Collin. The injuries to RBNY defenders have not abated, but there has been less of a carousel in the center of the Red Bulls' defense since Collin landed at the club.
Last time we checked in on Kaminski, it was thought his most likely destination was either Germany or Turkey. Germany has won the race. Stuttgart isn't the 2. Bundesliga team we had been told to expect to sign the Polish defender, but Eintracht Braunschweig's loss is the gain of a club making the adjustments it hopes will send it quickly back into the German top flight after relegation this season.
And door has closed on another RBNY transfer rumor.
