A meaningless mid-season friendly between the New York Red Bulls and Club America appeared destined to pass unwatched and unloved by all but those who made it out to Red Bull Arena for a late (8:00 pm) mid-week kick-off.
But the club has stepped up to stream the game on Facebook Live. The stream will also include commentary from the Red Bulls Radio team, Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley.
And, for those who prefer to stay away from the Facebook behemoth, RBNY is trying to get something worked out for you too:

Update: And that effort has been successful.
On the #RBNY Live stream tonight: For those of you who don't want to watch through FB, it will stream on our site: https://t.co/esusEQs21l

The kick-about is set to feature the Red Bulls' reserves, with head coach Jesse Marsch stating plainly that he will shield his regular starters from more strain on already heavy legs. Club America is in the midst of its pre-season, and Tour Aguila: a long-planned effort to extend the storied Mexican team's reach north of the border. Some of Las Aguilas' stars should be out on the night, providing an interesting opportunity to assess how RBNY's emerging players match up against a caliber of opponent rarely encountered in MLS, and almost never seen in USL.
