Reports: Everyone thinks Matt Miazga is going on loan to Eintracht Frankfurt except Eintracht Frankfurt

The former RBNY player has been linked and unlinked to Eintracht Frankfurt.

It has seemed likely Matt Miazga will be loaned out by Chelsea this season, but the rumor mill has been slow to pair the lightly-used center back with options for the playing time his coach has said he needs in order to develop.

Finally, Bild stepped forward with the identity of a club interested in the New York Red Bulls' academy graduate and hero of the MLS club's 2015 Supporters' Shield winning campaign: Eintracht Frankfurt.

The rumor spread far and wide, though ESPN FC found a source who said Miazga's options were "numerous", and perhaps Frankfurt wasn't as close to sealing a deal as some had thought.

Frankfurter Neue Presse went one better, finding a named and authoritative source - Eintracht Frankfurt Sporting Director Fredi Bobic - to deny the rumor completely. Bobic told FNP Miazga was "not an option".

Op-online.de notes a center back is "urgently needed" at Frankfurt, and quotes Bobic admitting there is an ongoing effort to find one. But the article ends with the same denial of any imminent Miazga signing (with Serge Gnabry also rejected as a possible future loaner to the Bundesliga club).

As it happens, RBNY has current need for a center back. Just saying.
