Chelsea's young American center back, Matt Miazga, is widely expected to be loaned out this season. The rumor mill has recently insisted that loan will be to an English club, most likely in the Premier League - with Sunderland the current favorite.
But there is still time for a few more options to get an airing. Undeterred by the report that Chelsea has already declined an offer from Bundesliga's Eintracht Frankfurt in favor of keeping Miazga closer to home, BILD reports that 2. Bundesliga club TSV 1860 Munich has an interest in Chelsea's "mega-talent".
The former New York Red Bulls defender is assumed to have until the August 31 transfer deadline to settle on a team for this season. Although Sunderland would appear to be in need of defensive reinforcements, there hasn't been much advance on the Miazga-loan story since it was first reported by The Guardian. The Black Cats are currently rumored to be chasing Barnsley's Alfie Mawson to bolster their back line.
Per BILD, 1860 Munich is on the hunt for a central defender and is confident of reeling one in before the transfer window closes at the end of August.
