New York Red Bulls' summer signing Daniel Royer will wear squad number 77 for the club; it is the same number he wore at FC Midtjylannd (from whence he has just arrived).

Per MetroFanatic.com's exhaustive archive of team history, the Austrian will be the first player to wear 77 for either MetroStars or RBNY.
NYRB II's Junior Flemmings currently wears 77 for the reserve team in USL.

If Royer is as good for RBNY as Flemmings has been for NYRB II, then the team will be well pleased with its latest addition. The club's incumbent #77 has contributed five goals and four assists in 19 appearances for the reserves. A similar return from Royer for the first team would be most welcome.
Welcome, #77.
