RB Leipzig confirms Omer Damari loan to New York Red Bulls

RB Leipzig pre-empted the New York Red Bulls official announcement, confirming on their official website and Twitter that Omer Damari has been loaned to the MLS side of the RB global soccer family.

All that remains for RBNY to announce are the basic terms of the deal. We have been told to expect Damari to take a Designated Player spot on the roster.

Omer Damari will occupy a DP spot on NY Red Bulls. Expecting him to start training with team Friday. Won't be available for LA game. #MLS

And the expectation in Germany appears to be that he'll be back with Leipzig by the end of the year, in time for the January transfer window in Europe.
