Bulls Abroad: Sacha Kljestan, USMNT Blaze Past Vincy Heat 6-0 in World Cup Qualifying

Let's have some fun with this.

If you made it to reading this article, you may have read others just like it.  The United States national team destroyed St. Vincent and the Grenadines, 6-0 in the blazing sun in the southern Caribbean to start the holiday weekend.  But all articles are not created equal.  This article is made possible by... you!

Fast forward to the second half of the match.  The US is already leading 3-0 behind goals by Bobby Wood, new dad Matt Besler and a PK from Jozy Altidore.  In the 66th minute, enter Christian Pulisic and a blast from the US past in current New York Red Bulls star, Sacha Kljestan.

Kljestan and Pulisic didn't waste any time getting on the score sheet.  The MLS assist leader found the 17-year-349-day-old in the 71st minute.

And this is how you reacted to Sacha's return to the team.

Seven minutes later, Pulisic returned the favor.

And this is how you reacted to Sacha's fifth international goal.

But they weren't done there.  In the second minute of stoppage time, the two linked up again to equal the US's goal total from the first time they played St. Vincent.

And this is how you all felt about Sacha's one-goal-and-two-assist outing.

Bravo, Mr. Kljestan.  What a performance.  I don't think Jurgen can keep you off the team when the Hex starts in November.  Congratulations to you and the US national team.

The team returns home for their final Round 4 CONCACAF World Cup qualifying match against Trinidad & Tobago in Jacksonville on Tuesday night.

After T&T's tie with Guatemala, USMNT isn't mathematically advanced to the Hex just yet. But it only needs a point from the game with the Soca Warriors, or for Guatemala to not make up a 12-goal deficit on goal difference with the USA.
