Just three days after making his first-team debut for Vitesse in a mid-week Cup match, Matt Miazga got his first taste of top-flight Dutch soccer, making his Eredivisie debut on the road against Twente.
He entered the game in the 64th minute, when injury forced Maikel van der Werff to leave the field.

Vitesse was trailing, 1-0, when Miazga joined the fray. Twente doubled its lead in the 85th minute. An injury-time goal by fellow Chelsea loanee, Lewis Baker, gave Vitesse something to celebrate, but the home team held on for the points.

Baker's goal was a highlight unto itself, but it also may have brought Miazga's first assist for his new club.
Vitesse is next in action at home on October 1, when it will host Groningen.
