It is here. The 2017 MLS SuperDraft, for which the New York Red Bulls have three selections. A "wild one" is predicted by Goal.com's Ives Galarcep, who foresees a lot of frantic trading for higher picks from teams - like RBNY - currently holding uninspiring, down-the-board selections.
Will RBNY trade up for one of the top-rated players in this Draft - say, Abu Danladi or Chris Odoi-Atsem? Will the team hold on to the 17th, 39th, and 61st overall selections and follow the play-it-safe approach it has preferred under the leadership of Ali Curtis and Jesse Marsch on Draft Day?
There are 237 draft-eligible players, and the Red Bulls might end up with as many as three of them signed up for preseason training and a shot at a roster spot (might end up with considerably more, since undrafted players often end up in preseason camps).
Watch to find out.
