There is a persistent rumor that the New York Red Bulls have a growing collection of new signings for 2017 stashed away, waiting to be announced. Among them may be potential Homegrown players Evan Louro, Marcello Borges, and Andrew Lombard. Adam Najem, it has been suggested, could find his Homegrown player rights flipped into a trade, as RBNY seeks additions to its roster that its Academy pipeline cannot provide. We will find out in due course.
While we wait, the list of possible new signings to Homegrown contract grows. The latest rumored recruit is Georgetown's Arun Basuljevic.

In common with the other players mentioned, he is a Red Bull Academy grad who took the college route and has continued to perform well at that level. He was named to the All Big East second team after his work for Georgetown this season.
The midfielder still has a year to run in college if he wants it. But RBNY is reportedly seeking to lure him away to a pro career for 2017.
