Once a Metro welcomes new Sky Blue FC contributors

Once a Metro starts 2017 off by expanding our Sky Blue FC coverage.

Robyn McNeil (Sky Blue FC)

Once a Metro expanded last year to more fully cover Sky Blue FC in the NWSL. We have once again continued that trend, adding four new contributors to add to our coverage of the women’s game as we prepare for the fifth NWSL season for Sky Blue. We are excited to have each of these writers on board with us and would like to introduce them to you, our readers.

Silla Berg (@SillaBerg): Silla is an Icelander, a screenwriter and an avid soccer lover. Her first dream was to play alongside David Beckham at Old Trafford until she realized her talents actually lay off the field. Now she spends her time combining her love for writing and soccer by focusing on the NWSL, Sky Blue especially.

Danielle D'Avanzo (@DaniD_Avanzo): Danielle has been in love with the beautiful game from the moment she kicked a soccer ball. A former player and current coach, you can always count on her to talk about Women's Soccer.

Kristin Shaffer (@k_shaffe): Kristin enjoys a quality game of Women's Soccer, no matter who is playing. She appreciates a cheeky pass, the Oxford comma, and a last-minute goal, but doesn't have the heart to handle game-deciding penalty kicks. Between watching games, she is usually reading, writing, or trying to live the Millennial lifestyle.

Mariah King (@MariahLeslie_): Mariah is a student, teacher, writer and self-proclaimed travel junkie. She is passionate about women’s soccer and wants to see the game grow to its full potential. She is an avid fan of the Boston Celtics, the USWNT and her alma mater.

Please take a minute and help us welcome our newest contributors.
