Bulls Abroad: Noah Powder named to Trinidad and Tobago U-20 Men's National Team for 2017 CONCACAF Championship

RBNY's Academy and NYRB II have a representative in T&T's squad for the upcoming CONCACAF Men's U-20 Championship.

The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association inadvertently broke a little news last month by listing New York Red Bulls Academy product Noah Powder as on trial with Paris Saint-Germain as part of a squad announcement for the T&T U-20 Men's National Team's final training camp before the 2017 CONCACAF U-20 Championship.

The TTFA subsequently amended its listing, describing Powder as attached to RBNY. That is also news: he is a Red Bulls Academy graduate, and has played and impressed for NYRB II in USL, but Noah Powder has not been officially revealed to have signed a contract with RBNY.

The TTFA has made no further amendment, however: Powder has made the final cut for T&T's U-20 squad for the CONCACAF Championship, and his national association still lists him as attached to RBNYIn-the-know Trinidadian soccer site Wired868 notes simply that Powder "spent the last month on trial in Europe".

The 18-year-old will now get the chance to boost his profile on the regional stage. CONCACAF's 2017 U-20 Championship kicks off on February 17. If T&T can make the tournament's top four, it will qualify for the 2017 U-20 World Cup.
