Sky Blue FC’s preseason roster and schedule

Training started this week in preparation for the three preseason matches Sky Blue FC will face this year.

Over the past few days Sky Blue FC has announced its preseason schedule and preseason roster.

Training camps started Monday, March 13, 2017. Sky Blue FC’s first preseason match is scheduled for March 25, 2017 against St. John’s University in Queens at Belson Stadium. The second preseason match is against University of North Carolina on April 1, 2017, which will be played at Georgian Court University in Lakewood, New Jersey. Kick off for the second match is set for 3:30pm. The third and final preseason match will take place on April 9, 2017 against Penn State. The location is still to be determined, but kick off is slated for 3:00.

All preseason matches are open to all fans, and are free of charge.

“We are very optimistic as we head into our first week of the preseason,” said Christy Holly, Sky Blue FC head coach. “We have a great array of new talent coming into camp. With so many skillful players taking part in the preseason, it creates a very competitive environment that will challenge everybody to be at their best.

“We are really looking forward to getting started with our preseason schedule. This year, we will play an exceptional set of teams that present us with an array of challenges. Putting our players in this competitive environment will ultimately allow us to enter the NWSL season fully prepared so we can give our fans an exciting year.”
