Anatole Abang subs in to SJK's 3-1 loss to PS Kemi

SJK is in a bit of a slump.

Anatole Abang continued his streak of Veikkausliiga appearances for new club SJK, subbing in to the team's away-game against PS Kemi on April 22. The on-loan New York Red Bulls forward hasn't yet played a total of even 90 minutes for SJK, but he has at least participated in each of the club's four league games so far in its 2017 league campaign.

Against PS Kemi, Abang got into the game in the 81st minute, by which time the match seemed to be out of SJK's reach.

SJK was made to regret missing a penalty in the first half when Kemi got a spot-kick of its own, which was duly converted. The home team took the lead into half-time.

Tomas Hradecky equalized for SJK in the 65th minute, and it appeared the team might salvage at least a point from a game in which it was enjoying a lot of opportunity but getting little reward.

But PS Kemi responded with two quick goals to snuff out SJK's hopes. Abang's cameo yielded only a yellow card, and SJK lost 3-1.

This was SJK's second consecutive loss. The team will seek better form on April 28, when it plays HIFK at home.
