Talking American Soccer and the Red Bulls

Feuerstein’s Fire on Once a Metro

On this episode of the Feuerstein’s Fire American Soccer Show we will discuss the arrival of La Liga heavyweight Valencia CF on the local soccer academy scene.

The New York Red Bulls Academy is among the most respected in the country, but it’s recruitment efforts will be further challenged by Valencia’s presence on the local landscape.

Also joining me on this show is John Jagou who covers Liga MX and FMF on the Mexico side of the game. US International Omar Gonzalez won the CONCACAF Champions League as Pachuca beat the buzz-saw that was Tigres - and he may yet be on his way to the FIFA Club World Cup

And the show also takes a look at events in NASL and USL this past weekend, before the Red Bulls Hour, where we discuss the 2-1 home win over the Chicago Fire and Dax McCarty returning to his former home. And, of course, there is the Kemar Lawrence situation to discuss: his brush with concussion before the Chicago game, and events of the field that caused that to become a talking point after the final whistle.

Guests this week:

MARIOS C. SFANTOS: Former Assistant D.A. of Queens, NY now Communications director of the Valencia CF NY Academy at Long Island University at CW Post.
JOHN JAGOU: Soccer Chronicles .com & Cantina MX Podcast on the CCL Final as Pachuca defeats Tigres and discusses about Omar Gonzalez going to FIFA Club World Cup.
2ND DIVISION REVIEW: Recapping the matches in both the NASL & USL
RED BULLS HOUR: Recapping the 2-1 home win over the Chicago Fire, the return of Dax McCarty and the Kemar Lawrence concussion Protocol situation
