Sky Blue FC (2-2-1, 7 points) returns home to Yurcak Field on Saturday to host the Houston Dash (2-3-0, 6 points) for the back end of a home-and-home series in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) on Lifetime Game of the Week. Kickoff for the match is set at 4 p.m. ET with a pregame show starting at 3:30 p.m. ET.

In last week’s match-up between these two squads, Sky Blue FC had its second consecutive three-goal game to defeat the Dash 3-1 at BBVA Compass Stadium. The New Jersey squad scored first in the contest off a Sarah Killion penalty kick in the 33rd minute. It marked her fourth goal of the year (third successful pk), and she’s tied for top goal-scorer in the NWSL with Seattle Reign FC’s Megan Rapinoe and Portland Thorns FC’s Nadia Nadim.

Sky Blue FC struck again in the 53rd minute off a beautiful play from Sam Kerr to Leah Galton to make it 2-0, but Houston would not stay scoreless. The Dash got on the board in the 76th minute when Poliana finished a Kealia Ohai cross into the box. SBFC scored the final goal of the match in the 87th minute off a Kerr strike to make it 3-1.

In the last eight match-ups between these two clubs, Sky Blue FC is unbeaten against Houston, going 5-0-3 and allowing only four goals during that span. Today’s contest will also be the second time the New Jersey squad has played at Yurcak Field this season, with the first being a 1-0 win against FC Kansas City on April 30.

For the match, Sky Blue FC is pleased to welcome motivational speaker, philanthropist and former Rutgers University standout Eric LeGrand as the team’s honorary captain.
