He also scored his first goal for his new club inside the first five minutes of his debut appearance, which was less expected.

After a very promising 15-minute cameo for NYRB II, the biggest question about Martinez's immediate future is whether he will next be seen playing in USL or at the U-20 World Cup.
Martinez told La Prensa's Eduardo Solano that he had been asked to join the squad before May 10. NYRB II had reportedly asked him to stay on until the team has played LA Galaxy II on May 14.
After Martinez's debut for the II team, club representatives would only tell reporters that the player's departure date would be confirmed "this week".
If he hasn't left by Tuesday, May 9, Martinez is late for national team duty. But the U-20 World Cup is not scheduled during an official window for international matches, and the team that pays his salary is under no obligation to release him. NYRB II plays Charlotte Independence on the road on May 11 and LA Galaxy II at home on May 14. The U-20 World Cup kicks off on May 20, with Honduras starting off against one of the tournament favorites, France, on May 22.
