This show is digging into the lower levels of the American game with Abram Chamberlain, one of the co-owners of a brand new club playing in the Gulf Coast Premier League: AFC Mobile.
Clubs like Detroit City FC have attracted attention to the lower leagues in the American game and we’ll find out how Mobile, Alabama will fit in to the US soccer landscape.
Speaking about growth, this year has impressive results from two US Men’s Youth National Teams:the U-20s won their CONCACAF Championship this year, and the U-17s finished second to Mexico in their regional tournament. Both teams are heading to World Cups this year. Rob Usry takes a break from his work with Dirty South Soccer and Stars and Stripes FC to talk about the next generation of national team talent.
And there will still be time for the D2 recap of events in NASL and USL, and a longer look at NYRB II’s win over Harrisburg City Islanders, as well as the New York Red Bulls disappointing defeat by Philadelphia Union.
Tune in at 8:00 pm, Eastern (5:00 pm, Pacific) or catch the archived show at your convenience.
