New York Red Bulls right-back Michael Amir Murillo has made Panama's 23-man roster for the 2017 Gold Cup. Per Panama America, the full squad is expected to assemble in Nashville on Sunday, July 2. Panama's opening game of the tournament is on Saturday, July 8 - against the USA in Nashville.

Los Canaleros will be expected to advance to at least the quarterfinals of the Gold Cup. The team is grouped with host nation (and one of the favorites for the title) USA, but the tournament will be considered a disappointment for Panama if it cannot finish above Nicaragua and Martinique in the group stage to advance to the knockout rounds.
As such, RBNY fans should expect the team to be without Murillo until at least July 19: missing the Red Bulls' games against New England Revolution (in the league on July 5 and in US Open Cup on July 13) and San Jose Earthquakes (on July 19).
