The New York Red Bulls know what’s up next for them as this 2017 season continues to be a bit Jeckyll and Hyde for them. But so far what these two sides are known for is their abilities to develop the future of the game in the USA.

What these two sides have done with youth development has been incredible as we saw last season with the baby Bulls winning the USL championship along with the USL Shield winning the regulation season.

For FC Dallas their youthful players are already here and winning a double in 2016 as they defeated the New England Revolution in the US Open Cup as well as the Supporters Shield as the top points earner in Major League Soccer.

But with both sides missing players due to the international break, Marsch will be missing both Michael Murillo & Fidel Escobar who are with Panama for World Cup Qualifying and Kemar Lawrence is with Jamaica for a friendly against Canada.

FC Dallas will be missing Kellen Acosta who is with the US Men’s National Team and several others with their respective national teams on international duty.

“It’s harder to prepare as they played with a make shift lineup against DC United and earlier in the year against Toronto FC.” said Marsch, “We can at least look at some comparables, but we won’t know them as well and they won’t know us as well either so that’s the benefit.

It sets up to be still a good game against two teams that have been the best in the last three years.”

So now a road trip to the Dallas/Fort Worth area and a bus ride to Frisco as Jesse Marsch and Oscar Pareja will match wits to see which side will gain the advantage and who will secure the full three points.

“I have a lot of respect for Oscar. What a great man and a great coach, his teams are a real reflection of him and the kind of man he is.” said Marsch, “I know it will be a great match. It will be hot and when you look at our month of September, each point is going to be valuable cause we have game after game coming at us and if we make up our games in hand quickly. So we got to collect points.”

Marsch feels he has enough to fill in for all three players that will be missing as Damien Perrinelle will return to the eighteen man roster as well as seeing Connor Lade, Sal Zizzo and maybe Tyler Adams playing along the back line.

But FC Dallas has been on a current losing streak an maybe this could be the right time to take advantage of the situation for the Red Bulls and try to steal a road win.

“They definitely been on a bad stretch as of late, but I don’t think that’s a reflection of the quality of the team, especially when they are home they have some amazing offensive pieces.” said Luis Robles, “They have been good defensively for the last couple of years, so its going to be a tough task and when you include the weather conditions where it is hot and humid.

It’s a big billing, but none the less we’ve been playing well and the guys have been sharp all week in training and we are looking forward taking the opportunity to go out there and play.”

So the New York Red Bulls will be taking a trip back to Texas and take on FC Dallas and we shall see what will happen when these two sides do clash and try to show why they are the top two sides in MLS who has developed players and use them the right way.
