The ball was dropped in Times Square to officially ring in the new year as the Red Bulls will go after the CONCACAF Champions League, US Open Cup and trying to qualify for the MLS Cup Playoffs to reach the Final and win it.

But as everyone knows you need to have a cool looking kit to strut out on the pitch and perform at their best.

For the 1st time since the 2006 season when the club was rebranded, they will be wearing a full red kit from head to toe.

A red jersey with the three Adidas stripes going down the sides from the bottom of the sleeves to the bottom trim of the jersey. There is a thin white trim on the cuff of the sleeves.

"Adidas is a valued partner," said General Manager Marc Dr Grandpre. "They have helped us bring our club's identity to life with a custom fabric in our signature red and a design that signifies our passion and desire to give our fans what they asked for."

When the club was known as the MetroStars their kit maker was Nike till the league got Adidas as the league kits and equipment makers for all clubs.

A brand new Adidas kit was made until the Red Bull energy drink company bought them and rebranded the club. In 2006 we saw the club bring out an emergency red shirt with white shorts.

They scored twice in the first half down at RFK Stadium with a beautiful free kick from Youri Djorkaef and a fantastic quick goal from Edson Buddle to open the 2006 season against DC United with a two all draw.

The Supporters have been begging for a full red kit to show that New York is truly a Red Soccer Town and now they got it. They will be available in March and let's get some wins with the new digs.
