Official: Dates for New York Red Bulls 2019 CONCACAF Champions League opener confirmed

Time to look into flights to Dominican Republic.

CONCACAF has confirmed the dates for the opening round of its 2019 Champions League.

For New York Red Bulls fans, that means confirmation of the date RBNY will be playing Atletico Pantoja in Dominican Republic: February 20. The second leg will be at Red Bull Arena on February 27. The matches will be RBNY’s first competitive outings of the 2019 season. The winner of the series will advance to play either Honduras’ Marathon or LigaMX’s Santos Laguna.

The first leg is expected to be played at Estadio Cibao in Santiago, Dominican Republic.

For Red Bulls fans not flying to Dominican Republic, expect to find the first leg broadcast on Univision Deportes and Yahoo Sports. CONCACAF Go will also be streaming games.

In other news from the CONCACAF Champions League schedule confirmation, Atlanta United has announced that Soccer City, USA will be moving to Kennesaw, GA, because the Home of American Soccer, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, will be preoccupied with monster trucks.
