Sky Blue FC Announces 2018 Schedule

The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) officially announced its 2018 season schedule today as Sky Blue FC opens its regular season campaign on the road against the North Carolina Courage on Saturday, March 31. The New Jersey club will then play its home opener on Sunday, April 15 when it hosts Seattle Reign FC at Yurcak Field, with kickoff slated for 5:00 p.m.

The NWSL will keep a 24-game schedule this season, with teams playing 12 home and 12 away matches from March-September. The regular season will officially kick-off during the weekend of March 24 and finish the weekend of September 8. The playoffs will commence the following weekend, with semifinal games being played from September 14-16 and the championship match taking place on Saturday, September 22.

Sky Blue FC will compete against the other eight clubs in the league a total of three times each. The New Jersey side will play as the NWSL on Lifetime Game of the Week on Saturday, July 7, hosting the Chicago Red Stars at Yurcak Field at 3:30 p.m.

On Saturday, February 24, Sky Blue FC will play its first of four preseason matches at Sportika Sports when the club hosts Penn State University. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. The following weekend, SBFC will welcome the University of North Carolina for a 3:00 p.m. matchup, then on Saturday, March 10, Sky Blue takes on West Virginia University at 1:00 p.m. The New Jersey side will conclude its preseason schedule on Sunday, March 18 for a 2:00 p.m. contest against St. John's University.

All four Sky Blue FC preseason matches will be open to the public, and admission to attend will be free. Sportika Sports, which is the presenting sponsor of the 2018 Sky Blue FC Preseason, is located at 150 Woodward Road in Manalapan, N.J.
