As the end of the 2017 season came to a cloe the Red Bulls knew who they were going to keep and who they were going to release. One of those players was Montville native and former Red Bulls Academy prospect Dilly Duka, who came back home after stints with the Columbus Crew, Montreal Impact and Chicago Fire.

But starting the 2018 season Duka will continue his soccer career as he will remain within his area or close to it. From Jeff Carlisle of ESPN is reporting that Dilly Duka will sign with FC Motown as they will play on the campus of Drew University.

The club bought out the former Clarkstown Eagles that played in Rockland County, NY and their matches on the campus of Ramapo College of Mahwah, NJ will have their spot in the Keyston Conference of the NPSL’s Northeast Region.

Dilly Duka who is currently 28 years old is recovering from Ankle surgery, he’s trying to get back to full fitness and he will be managed by a friend and former academy teammate in Sacir Hot who had a great year with FC Motown and a solid run in the US Open Cup last year as well.

He will be added as an amateur player to the FC Motown Roster and they will face new expansion side Atlantic City FC as well as FC Monouth and NJ Copa FC in this Conference with others from the state of Pennsylvania.

But it’s nice to know that a former Red Bulls player even for a few months was able to get back to the swing of things when FC Motown gave him a call and now will use his time to get fit and improve his play to try and get back to MLS.
