After a 3-0 drubbing of Bolivia on Memorial Day, the USMNT is heading to Europe for a pair of friendlies against Ireland and France - and two of the New York Red Bulls’ top players are going with them.
On Tuesday afternoon, the New York Red Bulls confirmed that center-back Tim Parker and midfielder Tyler Adams received call-ups to USMNT camp and would be departing the same day.

The announcement also confirmed that the pair would miss the next three games - at New England (June 2nd), vs NYC FC in the Open Cup (June 6th), and at Columbus (June 9th).
Parker earned Man of the Match honors for his performance in the team’s 0-0 draw with Philadelphia this past Saturday. He also earned MLS Team of the Week honors in three of the last four weeks.
Adams has been his usual, rock-solid self at midfield, earning Team of the Week honors for his performance in last month’s 4-0 win over NYC FC.

OPINION: The call-ups will leave the team even more short-handed than it was initially, with the injury absence of Luis Robles combined with the World Cup call-ups for Michael Murillo and Fidel Escobar.
