Sky Blue FC announced on Tuesday afternoon that the club has acquired a natural fourth round draft pick from Seattle Reign FC in the 2019 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) College Draft in exchange for forward Adriana Leon.

Leon arrived to New Jersey this season after being selected in the 2018 NWSL Dispersal Draft in January. The Canada international made two appearances for Sky Blue FC this year, playing 33 minutes. In 2017, she scored six goals in 24 matches for the Boston Breakers.

The Mississauda, Ontario native has eight career goals in 44 games with the Canadian national team. Leon was a member of the 2015 FIFA World Cup squad and helped Canada reach the quarterfinals.
