Sky Blue FC (0-8-2, 2 points) returns to National Women’s Soccer League action on Saturday night as the New Jersey club begins it three-game road trip in Orlando to face the Pride (4-3-4, 16 points) for the first time this season. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. and fans can watch on go90 or NWSLsoccer.com.

On Friday, Sky Blue FC announced its latest roster change to the 2018 squad. Rookie forward Imani Dorsey was signed to a professional contract, and defender Kayla Mills was waived. Earlier this week, forward Adriana Leon was traded to Seattle Reign FC in exchange for the Reign’s fourth round draft pick.

In Sky Blue FC’s last outing, the New Jersey side earned its second point of the season with a scoreless draw at home to the Washington Spirit. The highlight of the match came in the 78th minute of play. A penalty kick was awarded to the Washington Spirit, and Andi Sullivan stepped up to attempt the kick. Her shot went slightly towards the right but still in reach of Sheridan, and the Canada international read the play correctly. Sheridan dove to her left to block the shot and push the ball out of bounds for a corner kick, and secured her first shutout of the 2018 campaign.

The Orlando Pride also played to a scoreless tie in its last contest on June 3 against Seattle Reign FC. The Pride have only lost one match over the past eight games, and currently sits in third place in the NWSL standings.

Sky Blue FC is still in search of its first win of the season. The club’s winless streak of 10 games is fast approaching the league’s record of longest winless start to a season (11 games) set by the Reign during the 2013 season.
