As the MLS All-Star Game is approaching us we will see three players reperesent the New York Red Bulls as defenders Aaron Long, Michael Murillo and new century goal man Bradley Wright-Phillips will represent the New York Red Bulls at MercedeszBenz Stadium in Atlanta.
But now you can add a fourth player to that All-Star Game Roster as Midfielder Tyler Adams will have a chance to face Italian Serie A Champions Juventus in the Peach State. He will be replacing Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the LA Galaxy have said fixture congestion along with travel will be an issue to keep him fresh for their schedule.
Adams, 19, has been successful on the field with both club and country. The Wappingers Falls, New York, native, has 16 starts and 17 appearances overall with the New York Red Bulls, tallying four assists in 1,428 minutes played. Since the beginning of the calendar year, Adams has started and appeared in four of the last five international friendly matches for the USMNT. In the last four matches, he has started and played the full 90 minutes in the midfield.
It should be a fun time for Adams to face some of the top players that perform for that historic club that is looking very hungry to win another domestic title and of course looking to win the UEFA Champions League.
Sadly though we won’t see a possible Adams Vs. Ronaldo match up as Juventus did not bring over Cristiano Ronaldo over for their US Tour as they want to keep him fresh and ready for their upcoming Serie A season.
But a fantastic moment for the Red Bulls former Academy player, USL Cup Champion, current MLS and now US international Midfielder as Adams will now add the All-Star Game to his short career.
