The New York Red Bulls face up to their biggest test so far this season as they travel out to the Home Depot Center for tonight's game against the Los Angeles Galaxy. There could be as many as five Designated Players in action, with Thierry Henry and Rafa Márquez certain starters for the Red Bulls and Landon Donovan, David Beckham, and former Red Bull Juan Pablo Ángel likely to play for LA. The only one of those who might not play is Beckham, who was involved in a car accident earlier today, although he was not hurt.
An groin injury to Teemu Tainio against Kansas City means that New York will not be able to start the same XI in four straight games (which would have been a club record). Mehdi Ballouchy comes in to replace him, and Hans Backe only has six men on the bench for the second game in a row.
The lineups....
Red Bulls: Bouna Coundoul; Jan Gunnar Solli, Rafael Márquez, Tim Ream, Roy Miller; Dane Richards, Mehdi Ballouchy, Dwayne De Rosario, Joel Lindpere; Luke Rodgers, Thierry Henry
Subs: Greg Sutton, Carlos Mendes, Stephen Keel, Carl Robinson, John Rooney, Juan Agudelo
Galaxy: Donovan Ricketts, Sean Franklin, Omar Gonzalez, A. J. DeLaGarza, Todd Dunivant, Landon Donovan, David Beckham, Juninho, Mike Magee, Juan Pablo Angel, Chad Barrett
Subs: Josh Saunders, Frankie Hejduk, Jovan Kirovski, Chris Birchall, Adam Cristman, Miguel Lopez, Michael Stephens
Unfortunately, SB Nation doesn't have a Galaxy blog yet, so you'll have to bait their fans on Twitter instead.
