...The Red Bulls select Ryan Meara, Goalkeeper, Fordham.

If you're scratching your head after the Kenny Cooper deal, this move should soothe you at least a little, since it actually makes sense with the lack of goalkeeping on the roster.

The 6'4" Meara is a Yonkers, N.Y. native and has quite the resume from his time in the Bronx.

For what it's worth, he was named the #1 goalkeeping prospect by TopDrawerSoccer.com.
