How to watch New York Red Bulls vs Colorado Rapids, MLS 2017, Week 2: start time, TV schedule, and live stream

The Red Bulls' 2017 home opener will also be a celebration of two of the club's most accomplished 'keepers.

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Whether he plays or not, legendary US Men's National Team 'keeper Tim Howard will be honored pre-match by the New York Red Bulls - the club (back in its MetroStars days) that proved the launchpad for a pro career that yielded more than a decade in England's Premier League and more than 100 (and counting) USMNT caps.

At the opening whistle, fans might find a way to honor Luis Robles, the current RBNY starting 'keeper, who is expected to start and thereby break the MLS all-time record for consecutive regular season appearances.

So all eyes on the goalkeepers in RBNY's MLS 2017 home-opener. Two RBNY/Metro legends at Red Bull Arena, possibly facing each other down from opposite sides of the field.

It is only the second week of the regular season. Both teams opened up their 2017 campaigns with wins: 2-1 for RBNY in Atlanta; 1-0 over New England for the Rapids at home. Both would certainly like to say they are on a winning streak when Week 3 rolls around.

If you're going to the game, wrap up warm. The balmy conditions that greeted the Red Bulls' season-opener on February 22 are a memory: March 11 will be a cold day in Harrison.

If you're staying out of the cold for this one, here's where to find the game with a little help from livesoccertv.com:
