Injury to Rafa Diaz has made rookie RBNY Academy product Evan Louro the de facto starting 'keeper for New York Red Bulls II in the early going this season. He has started three games for NYRB II to date, a run of two wins and one loss that includes the team's only shutout so far in USL 2017.
It has been a solid start for the first-year pro, whose challenges include the fact that the defense in front of him isn't generally all that experienced either.
In his last outing - NYRB II's 3-1 win over Orlando City B - he did well to mostly handle what was thrown at him.

And one of his saves from the game - to deny Albert Dikwa - has won him the USL Save of Week 4 award.
How did he save that!

NYRB II will need its 'keeper to be in form for its next game: the team travels to play Rochester Rhinos on April 22.
