Zambia lost star-man Patson Daka to injury in the first half of its opening game of this World Cup, but also proved it can live without him - both goals in the team's 2-1 win over Portugal were scored in Daka's absence.

Zambia should be considered the clear favorite to win Group C now. Iran is not expected to provide the same test as Portugal, and the Zambians are a little more confident in the final third than Costa Rica - the team the Iranians shut out in their opening match of the group stage.

The Chipolopolo like to play a counter-attacking game that will see Iran get plenty of possession, and any team that sees a lot of the ball will feel like it isn't out of the game. A physically robust squad, Iran might feel it matches up pretty well against Zambia's presumed tactical plan. And if injuries mean the African side is at less than full strength, that too will help narrow the gap between these teams.
