After a thrilling evening of World Cup Qualifying for the US Men’s National Team, it’s time to get back to domestic business: the 2017 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup is back for its fourth round.
A discount liquor store outside Baltimore, Maryland is the home of this year’s Cupset heroes. Christos FC’s owners John & Nick Christopoulous are on this USOC preview show, talking about their team’s wild and crazy ride from the first round all the way to face DC United this week.
The show isn’t all USOC: Peter Wilt joins me to discuss his latest soccer venture - the National Independent Soccer Association. He will describe plans for what is intended to be a new division three league for American soccer, with ties to the existing NASL and NPSL leagues.
Neil Morris will help preview the three sides remaining from the NASL in the US Open Cup as North Carolina FC hosts the Houston Dynamo, Miami FC travels to face Orlando City and the San Francisco Deltas travel to face the San Jose Earthquakes.
Also, I will host a segment previewing USL sides facing MLS Sides. And, of course, there will be a preview of the New York Red Bulls hosting NYCFC in the USOC fourth round - the first time the two NY soccer rivals have met in the competition. Red Bull Radio’s Matt Harmon and NYCFC Radio Analyst from 660 AM & 101.9FM WFAN Glenn Crooks will help preview this big match-up.
